ASSIGNMENTS TO HIGHER UNITS.

DEPLOYMENT AREA / OPERATIONAL PERIOD.

1944.

• Formed April 1944
• 5.44-23.8.44: in defence in the area Capu Codrului / SV - Mălini / SV and Baia / SV (between GURA HUMORULUI and FĂLTICENI).
• 23-29.8.44: in action (together with units of the 50th Soviet Corps) towards the West, with actions at Voroneţ and Frasin (Reg.3 Gr.), Suha - 26.8.44, Negrileasa and Ostra - 29.8.44 (I / Reg.2 Gr.) - all places in Suceava county.
• 11.9.44: actions at CÂMPULUNG MOLDOVENESC and Pojorâta / SV.
• 14.9.44: action at Iacobeni / SV, then redirected to the North, through Fundu Moldovei / SV- Breaza / SV, with actions at Moldova Suliţa / SV (23/24.9.44) and Cârlibaba / SV (25.9.44) arrivind as far as the Prislop Pass in 29.9.44.
• 29.9-1.10.44: withdrawn and regrouped in VATRA DORNEI.
• then moved back to its garrison, SUCEAVA, with the mission to guard the northern frontier.
• Losses: 1500 (dead, wounded and missing)
