Max Voltage is  San Francisco Drag King VIII (SFDK8), 2003-2004.  Since he was five and played the pirate to his brother's damsel in distress, Max has been a gender revolutionary.  He began the more recent re-incaration of his Drag King career in Spring of 2002 by organizing and performing in his Jesuit University's first ever Drag Show.  Despite controversy and censorship, he continued the tradition with the 2nd and 3rd annual drag shows. With his diva twin sister, Polyanne Marie, Max co-founded Ubergay Cabaret and produced and co-starred in the Portland productions of  Uber-Heroes, Homos go Yo-yo: more genderfuck for your tender buck, The Big Bang: shooting off into 2004, DragUp KnockDown: Portland Pride 2004, and most recently Jack's off the Beanstalk: a mish-mash fairy bash.  Ubergay Cabaret recently traveled to Chicago for the International Drag King Extravaganza 5, where Ubergay Cabaret performed in Showcase at the Metro.  While at IDKE, Max presented his thesis Performing a Revolution: Drag Kings, Transgender Theory and Feminism.
Max's full name is Danger Maximum Voltage, but he goes by Max and tells people danger is his middle name.  Above: Max Voltage and his twin sister Pollyanne Marie, publicity photos for  Homos go Yo-yo.
