anyone who passed by the road between Galang 3 and Galang 1 would have noticed this scuplture with title : Freedom :

 

This place was  half jokingly called galang 3 as alternative term for the  cemetery, an unpleasant term that we try not to use. It was a resting place for over 300 refugees who  were unfortunate to give up their journey here for good.

In 1992, a survey was carried on by Technical staffs, with support of UNHCR T.O. , to establish a complete statistical record on individual grave sites as of  31 December 1992. We came up with a report that contains a full list of all the graves in this cemetery, and a topographical map in which showed the graves with their exact locations  based on field measuring.
