Gil borrowed the truck from a neighbor and hand-lettered the signs on the
side panels. Scott furnished capital and muscle. Gil devised and printed
campaign literature. They took turns driving the float and distributing
fliers. Candidate Richards climbed aboard for the parade and climbed off
when it was over. Kudos to both for a stellar performance, and to Swee'Pea
for perhaps winning a few votes.
