| This is the inaugiral Star Dome Fastpitch Winter League has be designed as a home for some of the stronger programs in the Twin Cities to allow thier players to stay in shape or get back into shape as they move closer to their spring season. Our league will focus on a cooperative effort to help players develop during the off season and be prepared for the coming spring and summer seasons. Likewise we hope that this will provide an opportunity for college coaches to see some of the stronger players from the Twin Cities playing against strong competition in the non-traditional winter season. This league was started by our commisioner, Steve Patnode (Eagan) and is housing many teams displaced by the closing of the Rice and Arlington Dome. Games will be played at the AHA Star Dome located on the campus of the Academy of Holy Angels High School (6600 Nicollet Ave in Richfield, MN). Games will be on Sunday Mornings and teams will play a Doubleheader of 1 hour each against the same team. The league will not crown a champion or post win/loss records. |
