“Don't make it boring”, told me Dane when I asked him lots of questions about us from his memory and present time. Ok… “I will try”, I answered. “oh… how difficult it will be”, I thought at once, because I have a great intention to tell you every detail. But I will put only the most interesting things here from what you will be able to understand how everything happened.
In Universe on Planet Earth on
different continents woman and man lived. They had no idea about existence
of each other. His name was Dane. He lived in Colorado Springs, CO, USA. Her
name was Yeleanna who lived in Kiev, Ukraine. They had own life, interests,
friends, good and bad days. But there was one common thing between them
which made them happy being together – Internet. Yes, this great NET that
extends its threads all over the world giving lots of information and
uniting people. There is surprising thing, isn’t it? People don’t see each
other in reality though, but they become the best friends, they start
intimate relationship which have marriage and long happy life together
ahead. I think it is great fact that shows power of soul in being able to
find similar soul despite of distance, differences in hours or something
else. And we don’t care about the way how people meet: by meeting on the
street or on friends party, by unnatural way with inner feelings that in
some place lives someone who is assigned for you, or by technical progress.
The main thing is result, the main fact is that two people are together and
they love each other.
On 14 of May 2002 Dane was looking at profiles on Yahoo and saw a photo of girl from Ukraine wearing blue dress with white dots at night. He downloaded Yahoo Messenger and wrote “Hello”, but no answer was. When Yeleanna opened her Messenger to chat, she had found offline note “Hello”. Hmmm…. She was surprised because she didn’t know that very nice man who smiled to her from page-profile. She decided to get to know who he was and she wrote a short email to him: “hello, this is Yeleanna from Kiev. It was so nice to have a note from you...:-) Do you want to have a correspondence with me? If you do, I will be glad to have a letter from you” On 15 of May Dane asking if he could write to Yeleanna answered with his email contained biographical information, links to photos and intentions. Yeleanna answered too… of course, because she had found so many features which she had and Dane were looking in woman. That was a start of a respectful email exchange in what Dane and Yeleanna tried to get to know who and what everyone was like. Soon they started to chat in voice on Yahoo Messenger. Every weekend they were sitting in front of computers and enjoyed chats for 2-3 hours feeling every tone of voice and listening to words.
Lets ask them what they remembered the most
Dane: “the timely emails and then chats with voice that made more easy to know about her. We chatted about everything: family units, current events in our life and world. She stood out with her friendliness, openness, sense of adventure, intellect, savvy about technology (computer), excellent English (from Yeleanna – oops… he flattered me, because my English is enough good only because of him and our chats).”
