Jacob LEISLER, Captain of Militia, 27th December, 1689; Member of the General Assembly held in City Hall, New Amsterdam on 10th April, 1664; Representative of Flatlands in the Provincial Assembly of 19th March, 1664; Delegate to the Convention held in New Orange to confer with Governor COLVE on 26th March, 1674; commissioned by the Director General and Council for the office of Schepens of New Amersfoort, Flatlands, 20th March, 1664; m. prior to 1664, Marretje Gerritse VAN COUWENHOVEN, bapt. 20th April, 1644, at Long Island, d. there between 1702 and 1709, dau. of Gerrit Wolfertse VAN COUWENHOVEN and Aeltie Lambertse COOL.
