Antique Lead Crystal Chandeliers

Each antique lead crystal chandelier is basically one of a kind. While the antique lead crystal chandeliers which are illustrated here are still available for purchase, a number of other antique lead crystal chandeliers are also up for sale. Two of the collection have been permanently removed (gifts to our grown children.)

These antique lead crystal chandeliers are from Europe and range from the late 1700's to the early 1900's. Each of these antique lead crystal chandeliers is truly unique with too many crystals to count. Some were originally made for candles only. As electricity became available, owners of lead crystal candle chandeliers received a reduction in fire insurance costs if owners had them electrified. Therefore all are now electrified.

A Late 1700's Chandelier

This very old crystal chandelier is in the Russian Empire Style of the mid 1700's. When acquired by this family it was not electrified, using only its 15 candles for illumination. It has been electrified since and is nearly perfect.

An Early 1900's Chandelier


This hand cut lead crystal chandelier is in the Style at the close of the 1800's. Built "electrified" at either the very last of the 1800's or very early 1900's when electricity was not completely reliable. Its electric bulbs are fully supplimented by 15 Candles. This Chandelier is in perfect condition.
