Chapter Fourteen
"Okay, guys, lets run through it one more time," coaxed Joey, wiping off his forehead.  The guys were running through a tough spot in their choreography that they hadnt foreseen.  Wade had changed it in the middle of the tour, and they all still wanted to do the old move on stage.  It presented a problem, and Wade was getting frustrated as he watched their practice.
Turning to James, he said "Im starting to wish I had kept that the same.  They just arent grasping the concept!"  He ran a hand through his hair.
James nodded his head in agreement.  "Well, you cant very well change it now, because weve already spent too much time on this section.  We need to move on, were way behind schedule today."
Wade sighed in frustration, nodded and walked off.  Mumbling to himself, he ran into Sabrina on her way in.
"Ooops!  Sorry, Wade!" she apologized.  "I didnt see you."
     "Its all right."
She looked at his frustrated face.  "Whats wrong.  You seem pissed."
He grabbed his head.  "Theyre not getting it.  Weve gone over the damn section, like, twenty million times, and theyre still not getting it!"
She put her hand on his shoulder reassuringly.  "Im sure theyll get it someday.  Do you need any help?"
He sighed again.  "If you can work miracles" and he motioned to the stage, where the guys were all struggling.  Especially Lance, who never was that good at catching on to choreography quickly.  "Be my guest."
She smiled at him, and made her way through the auditorium.  "Hey guys, having fun?"
Justin rolled his eyes and rolled his shoulders to get the kinks out.  "If this is what you call fun.  Oh, nevermind, it is.  Yes, we are having a blast."
She ignored his sarcasm.  "Well, maybe you should try another approach to this choreography."
Joeys eyes lighted up.  "How about we say screw the choreography, and come out and just sing naked!"
Chris smacked him in the back of his head, and the rest of the guys groaned.
"Joey, one of these days, youre gonna hurt yourself if you dont stop thinking like that," JC commented.
"Joey, thats not exactly along the lines of different that I was talking about.  What I mean is, instead of trying to pound it into your heads, why not just work on it slowly, bit by bit.  Till it's as much a part of your body as the rest of it is."
The guys just looked at her.  "Okay.  I guess Ill have to show you."
She climbed onto the stage, grabbed a mic, and stood in front of the guys.  "Okay, first thing, can I have the lights down a bit, please?"
Nothing happened, and there was no response from the controll booth.  "Guys?"  Nothing.  She groaned, then cupped her tongue inside her mouth, and gave a shrill whistle into the mic.  The feedback was incredible.  Everyone in the auditorium, including the sound booth guys, jumped a mile. The stage lights dimmed and the house lights came up a bit.  "Thank you," she called sarcasticly.

What is she doing? wondered James.
"Okay, and five, six, seven, eight," she counted, taking the beat to Space Cowboy about half of what they were used to.  Then, they slowly went through the moves, with Sabrina watching it.  She had them do in slowly a couple of times, so she could analyze their movements, and see what was tripping them up.  She finally saw the problem.  They werent positive on one little section
"Okay, guys, thats good.  Now, just do that hip-hop sequence with me."  She stood in front of them, doing the move slowly.  The guys imitated her, and she snapped her fingers to the beat, walking around them.  She pointed out little things that they werent thinking about, and talked to them as she walked around.
Fifteen minutes later, they were going through the whole song, up to tempo, and everything was perfect.  Wade was about ready to cry, he was so happy.  He grabbed her as she walked off the stage, and hugged her.  Sabrina started giggling, because he was excited like a little kid again and was jumping up and down.  He thanked her one more time, and then ran off.
The guys wrapped everything up, and got off the stage.  The first thing that Chris did was kiss the auditorium floor, then Sabrinas cheek.  "Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting me off that stage!"
She pushed him away.  "EW! Dont kiss me after youve kissed the floor.  Its nasty!"
Lance laughed, and Chris turned to him.  He had an evil grin on his face, and he started walking slowly towards Lance.  "Uh, Chris, man, why are you looking at me like that?"
Chris licked his lips.  "Because you are looking soooo irresistible right now, I cant help myself!" and he took off after Lance.  He ended up tackling him backstage, and planting a kiss on his cheek.  Lance wiped his cheek off, and got up off the floor.
"Chris, I think there is something seriously wrong if you can kiss another guy and not feel gross or weird or anything."
Chris looked like a light had just gone off in his head.  "Uhexcuse me!" and he took off for the bathroom.  Everyone could hear the sound of him gargling and brushing his teeth comming from inside.
"Oh come on," called Lance.  "It wasnt that bad!"
"Maybe not for you!" came the reply from the bathroom.
     Lance sighed.  "I give up."
At that second, Chris burst out of the bathroom.  "I won!!!" he cried, clasping his hands over his head and shaking them back and forth like a champion.
Wade walked into the middle of all of this confusion.  "Welluh, okay.  I was just coming over here to check on you guys, but I guess Ill kinda leave you guys alone if you want."  He turned around and disappeared around the corner of the stage.
Chris started laughing and didnt stop.  He was bent over, grabbing his sides, with tears running down his cheeks. Sabrina was completely lost.
"Uh, Chris?" asked Sabrina.  "Do you mind clueing me in on whats so funny?"
Chris just waved him off and walked away, still laughing too hard to talk.  He wound down to a chuckle, but he was still laughing heartily.
Sabrina turned to the rest of the guys, who had innocent looks on their faces.  The looks were too innocent.        "Does anyone have any idea what that was all about?"
JC shrugged.  "Who knows?  Its Chris."
Sabrina raised an eyebrow.  "You guys know.  I know yall too well.  Whats up?"
JC wiggled his eyebrows up and down and had a Cheshire grin on his face. "I dont know."
She shrugged.  "Well, I dont really feel like playing games right now, so Im just gonna go chill with Nikki for a while," and she turned around and walked out.
Joey waited until she was completely out of the arena, before turning to the rest of the guys.  "So, what was so funny?"
JC shrugged again.  "No clue.  I just like doing that to her."
