Chapter Fifteen
Sabrina was sitting at her desk, typing away on her laptop.  She was so engrossed with her work that she never even heard Lance softly knock on the door to her bedroom.  He waited a couple of seconds, but didnt hear anything, except for the sound of clicking keys.  He opened the door, and poked his head into her room.  Seeing her sitting at her desk, he smiled and opened the door the rest of the way.  He quietly strode over to her desk, and stood right behind her.  Still not noticing him, Sabrina stopped typing long enough to rotate her neck to work the kinks out.  She brought her hands up to her shoulders and rubbed them a little, then went back to typing.  Lance grinned evilly, then brought his hands up to her shoulders and started rubbing.  Sabrina jumped about a foot at his touch.  Looking behind her, she saw him standing there.
"God, Lance!  You scared the shit out of me!"
He chuckled.  "Thats what Im here for."  He continued to massage her shoulders, and she sighed and gave up.  Saving her work, she closed the top of her laptop and relaxed.
"Oh wow, that feels good, Mr. Magic-Fingers."
     He smiled again.  "Mr. What?!"
"Nevermind, just dont stop."  She leaned forward on her elbows, and he massaged in-between her shoulder blades, then made his way down to her lower back.  Concentrating on each knot individually, he worked them out slowly, until they were gone.  When he was finished with the knots, he lightly rubbed her back all over, until she was completely relaxed.  By this time, she was laying her head on her arms and had closed her eyes.  Lance chuckled again.  He leaned over, and placed a kiss on top of her head.  She fluttered her eyes open.
     "What was that for?"
     "What?"
     "The kiss."
     He shrugged.  "Dunno."
She stood up and stretched, totally relaxed.  A little too relaxed.  She lost her balance, and stumbled.  Lance reached out to catch her, but she slammed into him and knocked the two of them over, Sabrina on top.  She giggled and pushed her flyaways out of her face.  Lance chuckled and put his hands on her back.  She felt a million little shock waves travel through her body from his touch.
Lance looked up into her blue eyes.  A small piece of her brown hair was in her face, and he reached up and tucked it behind her ear.  A small smile crept on his face, and he studied her face.  Sabrina could only stare at his green eyes.  They seemed to be magnets, she couldnt keep her eyes off them.
Lances hand had slowly made its way from behind her ear to her back again.  There, he slowly and lightly rubbed her back with both hands, watching her face for any signs that he should back off or stop, but he didnt see any.  All he saw were signs that she was as swept away as he was.
Sabrina didnt know anything at that moment, only that she wanted to be with Lance for the rest of her life.  She couldnt imagine living without him as more than a friend.  Then, she did something that she thought would never happen.  She found herself slowly dropping her head down to him.
Lance saw her moving, and felt a rush.  He had been waiting for her willingness to make the move past friends for years.  He lifted his head up gently, to close in the distance that existed between them.  Slowly, but surely, his lips found hers.
Sabrina felt like someone lit a fire underneath her.  About a million sparks went from Lances lips through hers to her toes, and she felt them curl.  Not really, but thats what it felt like.
Lance felt like he was dropping through the floor.  The first kiss they had shared was incredible.  Well, the second.  But Kindergarten didnt really count.
It was as if they couldnt get enough of each other.  The kiss started off small, but it progressed to several long ones.  Suddenly, Sabrina broke away.  Breathing heavy, she rolled off of Lance and lay on her back, staring up at the ceiling.  Lance rolled over on his side, propping himself up on his hand.
"Whew," he sighed.  "Well, that was interesting."
"How so?" Sabrina questioned him.  She was waiting for him to say something about her kissing ability.
"I never figured that would actually happen.  I mean," he continued.  "Ive wanted it to happen, but I always thought that it wouldnt.  Ya know?"
She looked at him.  "Youve been waiting for that to happen?"
He blushed.  "Well, yeah.  Kind of."
     "For how long?"
He mistook the look of wonder on her face for anger.  "Uhhh, I dont know.  Maybe a couple of years?"
She giggled.  "Youre kidding me, right?"
Lance was confused.  "No, why would I kid about something like that?"
She saw that he was confused.  "No, its funny because, well"
He saw her suddenly falter and figured it out for himself.  "Youve liked me, too.  Havent you?"
     She blushed.  "Well, kind of."
He smiled, then leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her lips.  "Well, then.  That answers that question."
