| Abs: After I met with the choreographers, the lads, and the dancers I rushed home to get ready to take Teresa out. As I stood outside her door I glanced at my watch, 8:15. I knocked on the door and I heard Teresa yell "Be there in a sec!" I heard a small crash followed by an "Ow!" from Teresa. I laughed quietly and she opened the door. "Hey Abs, oops, left my shoe at the crash site" she laughed as she turned around to pick up her shoe. I stared at her. She look wonderful. She had on a long black dress with a high slit and a strap-covered back. "Okay, got it. Is this dress okay for um, wherever you're taking me?" she asked, sounding nervous. "Perfect...You look great" I breathed. "Thanks" she smiled. "Are you okay?" I asked, remembering the crash, "That noise sounded dangerous" I joked. She just laughed, "Oh yeah, I'm fine. I'm the hugest klutz in the world. I'm used to falling" "Well I'm already late, so why don't we get going? I've got reservations for 8:30" Teresa: When Abs escorted me into the restraunt I was stunned. Never in my life had I been to such a fancy place. Abs must've seen the look on my face because he asked, "I take it you approve?" "Oh my God, of course! Back home even we I could scrounge up a date they'd never take me somewhere like this" "Name Please" the man at the entrance said. "There should be a reservation for two under Abs Breen" The man looked up from his book, "Oh Mr. Breen! I'll take you to your table right away" As we followed the man I whispered to Abs, "Well known in these fancy places are we Mr. Breen?" He just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. When we got our menus I opened it up and thought I had upside down. After turning it to several different angles I realized it was in French. Abs laughed, "Need some help?" "I knew I should've taken French in school. But no, I wanted Spanish, how many restraunts put their menus in Spanish?" "Good point" Abs said as he took my menu, "Want me to recommend something?" "Yeah, um I think you should take care of the ordering" I have no idea what Abs ordered but whatever is was, it was good. Not to mention, we seemed to be able to keep a conversation going. We got onto the subject about his job and how it got stressful sometimes. "Plus, it's hard to meet girls" I looked at him, surpised. "You have girls screaming your name and attacking you everyday. How can you say it's hard to meet them?" "Well if a girl jumps at me it kind of makes me thinks she'd be a tad possesive. Plus, they don't want to get to know me, they're fans. They think they know me already, through the mags" "So you're saying you only asked me out because I didn't ask for your autograph that day at the airport?" I joked. "That wasn't all of it of course, but a definite plus" he laughed. At the end of the night I was sad when we pulled up to our building. We stopped at my door, "Thanks so much for a lovely night Abs. I wish I could ask you in so we could finish our conversation, but I've got work really early tomorrow" I realized that was the second time I'd mentioned work in front of him and I prayed he didn't ask what my job was. "It's alright. I'd like to finish our conversation sometime too. It's nice to talk to someone I can trust" He smiled. I meekly smiled back, guilt rushing through me. As he leaned in for a kiss the guilt was almost unbearable, but I forced it out of my mind and enjoyed my lovely goodnight kiss from Abs. Chapter Seven... |
