| Turnout is an important part of ballet. However, you should not force your turnout. This can be more harmful. Because once you do force it your arches role inward. Creating instability espeicially in the center. And this is not good for your ankles or knees. There are many excercises you can do to increase your turnout. |

| Painful Pointe |
| Are you constantly complaining about the pain of dancing on pointe? Well, you don't have to be. There is a variety of pointe shoes, toe pads, and stuff you can do to prevent blisters. When you choose your pointe shoes go for confort. If you just think, oh I can never be confortable in pointe, your wrong. There is a right pointe shoe out there for everyone, you just have to go find it. When looking for the right toe pads check them all out. There is lambs wool pads, gel, foam, ect. Some people use paper towels. Toe Pad sizes are: small, medium, and large. To find the right toe pad size you need to know that the toe pad is suppose to cover your toes and the bones at the end of your big toe and your little toe. |
