Perizad is a life-long dancer and performer. Her love for dance began at age four, when she took her first ballet lesson. Her repertoire also includes jazz, tap, modern, and vintage dancing, and she served as captain of her college dance team and winterguard for three years. She began bellydancing in January 2004, and was immediately enchanted with the beauty and complexity of this dance. Cabaret is her first love, and she has studied with local dancers Mahira, Majida Anwar, Rayzahna, and Julena. She also enjoys American tribal and has studied this style with Zi'ah of Awalim. Perizad performs with two bellydance troupes - Dancers of the Harem, and Jawahari. When not performing, Perizad loves to spend time with her husband and daughter, and would like to thank both of them for their unwavering love and support.
