I don't claim to be an expert on child rearing for every child is different but  I do know there are basic elements that are needed in raising children:  Love committment; fairness;  consistency (very important epecially in the teen years); rules; disicpline;  faith in God (I could not have done it without Him).  Also, mothers need to know that when their children become adults there are boundaries that we have as parents, we must strive to stay within those boundaries and above all trust God.
DON'T SWEEP PROBLEMS UNDER A RUG, THEY ALWAYS SEEP OUT.  DEAL WITH THEM.
2 cups all purpose flour                             2 eggs
2 cups sugar                                             1 cup of black coffee
1/2 to 3/4 cups of cocoa                             1 cup of milk
2 tsp. baking soda                                      1/2 cup of salad oil*
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350.  Sift all dry ingredients together (ladies I never sift)  Add eggs and liquids, beat until batter is smooth, (batter will be thin).  Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan, (you can use the spray oils).  Bake  for 35 minutes or until done.  This cake is very moist.
My family's favorite icing with this cake is Peanut Butter.
*I have used Olive Oil in this recipe.   It works fine.
CHOCOLATE CAKE
CHEESE BALL

1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese (shred the  cheese)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 hard boiled egg (dice up in small pieces)
1 tbsp.  onion
2 tbsp. green pepper
3 olives (I use the green but it would be ok to use the black)
1/2 cup of crushed saltine crackers
1 tbsp. pickle (I use relish)
Mix all together and form ball.    I normally don't like cheese balls, but this one is different
.
Want to add something different to your baked beans, try some cheese, cheddar or the 4 cheeses mix, or whatever.
BARBECUE SAUCE
1 cup of catsup (ketchup)
1/2 to 1 cup of water (depends on how thick you want your sauce)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. pickle relish
1 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. pepper.
Add all ingredients together and simmer for 30 minutes.  This is excellent on chicken on the grill or baked in oven.
My family's favorite sauce.  Better than bottled, (we think so).
Easy Ham & Potato Casserole
Diced or sliced potatoes (you decide according to the servings you want)
1 can of cream of chicken soup.  (mushroom can be used too)
1/2 soup can of milk or more
leftover ham in chunks or cut up a slice of ham
onion (to suit your taste)
First use butter or margarine to grease your casserole dish.  Put a layer of potatoes, then ham and  diced onion, cover with soup.  Dot with butter or margarine.  Cover.
Bake at 350 for 1 hr or until potatoes are done.
This was always a favorite with my kids.  Be creative, try topping with cheese
.
If this seems to dry when it's done, just add some milk.
