| HASH BROWN POTATO BAKE 1 pkg. of Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing Mix 1 and 1/4 cup of milk 3 oz. cream cheese 6 cups of hash brown frozen shredded potatoes 1 tablespoon bacon bits (adjust to taste, I don't use a tablespoon) 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, ( I like to use the variety of shredded cheeses, like the 4 cheeses, fiesta cheese, colby and jack combine etc. In blender, combine dressing mix, milk and cream cheese. Pour over potatoes and bacon in a 9 inch baking dish, (I used a cooking spray on my dish to make clean up easier). Top with cheese. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Makes 4 servings. This is very good and it's easy. |

| Ever wonder how long to keep leftovers before consuming them? Use them within 4 days and this is something that I have used for years "When in doubt, throw out". Good rule to follow. Potatoes are a good source of Vitamin C. You can tell if baking powder or soda is still working if it fizzles when you add a teaspoon to hot water. (Sure would be nice if they sold baking powder in smaller containers, I don't use it up fast enough.) |
