How do we dress?  What footwear is suitable??

For Beginners:
Dress:  Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.   For Latin dancing, pants are recommended so that your movement is not restricted, and your dance moves can be monitored by the instructor.  Skirts are fine for ballroom as long as they are not tight.
Shoes should preferably be something secure that your feet don't slip out of.  Leather-soled shoes for ladies are suitable, heels are fine, just try to ensure your feet don't slip out of your shoes while dancing.  Court shoes are fine, so are strapped sandals.  Gentleman, leather shoes would be useful for you too, also make sure your feet don't slip out.  Joggers/sneakers tend to be heavy, and also don't glide along, hence they make dancing difficult.

For Experienced Dancers:
By this time, you may want specialised dancing shoes.   There are different shoes for Ballroom and Latin.  We will help you with information & suggestions on where and what to get, when you are ready.
