-How long have I been dancing:
I've been dancing since October 1998, so I have about a year and a half of experience.
-Favorite song:
My favorite song to dance to depends on the moment -- it could be anything, from the theme from S.W.A.T., to J5's "Improvise."
-How I feel about dancing:
I really feel this is one of the things in my life that I can truly express myself with. I find pure joy in dancing. It's as if I become the music I'm dancing to; the energy manifests itself through my physical body -- it's a joyous feeling like no other. I totally agree when Lady Jules described dancing as a glory of God. It can be an incredibly holy experience.
-Shouts:
I really want to thank my first influences in b-boying -- Lotuz, Nesto & Massive. They all have helped me a great deal in shaping and challenging my dancing, especially my first year.
-My advice to other dancers, especially females:
Everyone is capable of doing anything. This becomes difficult to believe when our mentality on accomplishing something or getting to a new level of dance, includes doubt. If you make mental blocks for yourself, saying you can't do something -- of course you're not going to try very hard. You'll probably give up easily when you don't succeed at first. To get what you want, you must expect to work hard. Be patient and determined to keep going throughout the failures that will surely come your way. I know all of this sounds like I'm preaching, but it's true. I'm just basically saying that you won't get anything or anywhere without hard work and patience. You just have to expect that, when things get aren't easy.
