French Polynesia is located in the South Pacific, about halfway between South America and Australia. F.P. is about a 7-1/2 hour flight from Los Angeles. Most flights leave LAX in the late evening and arrive in Papeete in the morning around 8 or 9 am. Take a book or a nap. The flight is worth it. When you get off that plane you are in PARADISE!
