I call this Barbie "At the Grammies" because I wanted to design something really unique and outragious. Something you might see on the red carpet at the one awards ceremony where celebs don't hold anything back. The fashions you see there can be as wild and creative as can be and there are really no limits. These photos just don't do this doll justice as she is one of my finest creations to date. To make her, I replaced all of her old hair with blue and yellow thread. Then I sewed the entire outfit by hand. The miniskirt is a pleather like material. (It is also the tablecloth!!) I enhanced her look with the long, flowing train. She carries a blue boa and the earrings are really just yellow pins. Her boots are boots that came on another doll. It seemed like as soon as I had her hair done and the boots picked out, the rest of the outfit just fell into place with ease. Hmmmm, I wonder what Joan Rivers would say about this one!! |
