11. Select All - Float. Effects - Cutout (same settings).
12. Same layer, using draw tool (Foreground black and Background set to null), draw a line from about 1/4 - 1/2 way down the middle of the body and stop when you reach the edge of the body. Then draw two curved lines on either side of the middle line. These will be the legs.
13. Add new Raster Layer and name it Feet. Preset Shape Settings: Heart 1 Antialias Checked Vectors checked Line width 2 Foreground Black Background white
Draw your left foot. Now go to node edit and select edit nodes. All you are going to do is flatten out the bottom of the heart by bringing that node up and then spread out the 2 nodes on either side to widen the sides out slightly. Draw three dots, 2 small ones on the toes and 1 large one at the bottom, for the paws. Once you are done, convert to raster.
14. Select All - Float. Cutout Settings same as before.
15. Go to layer palette. Duplicate this foot and name it Right Foot. Position your feet where you want them using your Mover tool.
16. Add New Raster Layer and name it left eye. Make sure this layer is above the Head layer.
17. Using your preset Shapes again, settings as follows, make an elongated eye. Shape: Ellipse Antialias checked No Vector Line width 2 Foreground Black Background White
Draw your eye fairly big on the face.
18. On same eye layer, using your draw tool, (using same settings as before: Freehand line, line width 2, Foreground Black) draw a line fairly high near top across the eye.
19. Using your magic wand select the area below the black line. Selections - Modify - expand by 3. Flood fill the area with black and deselect.
20. Using your Paintbrush, with settings as follows, put 1 dot on the black area of the eye for a finished eye effect. Shape: Round Size 3 Hardness 0 Opacity 80 Step 25 Denisity 100 Feel free to add a couple lashes at this point, too.
21. Go to your layer palette and duplicate this layer and rename it Right eye.
22. Add New Layer and name it nose. Using your Preset Shape with these settings, draw an oblong nose horizontally. Shape: Ellipse Both Foreground and background: Black
23: Inner Bevel for nose with the Round Preset that comes with PSP 7.
24. Add new Raster layer and name it Mouth. Using the draw tool with Foreground black and Background null, draw your upper mouth. Now for your lower mouth set Background to black and draw a "U" shape. Same layer, draw your tongue. For mine I used these colors: Foreground: #CB3E27 and Background: #E4908A. Same setting for draw tool, draw a "U" shape inside the black lower mouth. Now on the pink tongue with draw tool Foreground black and Background null, draw a small black line in the back center of tongue.
25. Add new Layer and name it Paw Pads. With your airbrush tool, with the following settings, lightly go over pads in the middle of pads to give it depth. Foreground Color: #E4908A Shape: Round Size 10 Hardness 0 Opacity 50 Step 25 Density 15
26. Add New Layer on very top of all layers and name it Dots. You can do this if you wish, but it isn't necessary. This is done by me cause this dog was created in honor of my pup who is a Blue Tick Coonhound/ Pointer Mix. Again, using your Airbrush with the same settings except for size,(change that to 20, color black), spray dots over your dog. Vary size of dots if you wish. Merge all layers visible and your done.
