Born February 1st, 1978, Daniel moved from Melbourne, where he was born and raised, to Sydney to join the cast of Home and Away.

Daniel was always involved in drama throughout his school years and comes from a relatively arts based family.

He knew from his first musical, Les Miserables that he wanted to act after he 'felt the lights on his face and the audience watching intently'.

Throughout school he studied art, media, theatre studies and graphics.

After High School he went straight to Swinburne University, Vic, to study Graphic design.

Daniel deferred in the second year of the degree to start a career in radio. He worked at a youth radio station- HITSFM, which is a station that enables young adults up to the age of 25, to be on air, or take part in the production of the running of the station.

He found it a great learning ground for young adults to study the media and an environment, which was 'age' friendly. It was also a great opportunity to work with station executives and program directors and follow the ABA rules, creating your own show. The 4am starts were a great learning curve.

From there Daniel moved to TTFM- now MIX in Victoria, where he did Promotional work for a year.

At the age of 19, he became the home game live on-ground announcer for the Melbourne Storm (NRL). He played a character called 'Danny boy' for a full season. The original job title was revving up the crowd, but he developed the character and it became a much-loved part of the entertainment of the match.

After the season ended he did various casual work and then had a 3-month stint on Neighbours, playing Sean Edwards.

Daniel is also a keen skier, enjoys rollerblading, swimming and running every day for exercise.
