Organism is located on Ilam Road near the intersection with Clyde Road, situated opposite Liquorland. The stores owners/operators Toby Brown and John Ottley have created a unique philosophy with their store as they seek to offer a top combination of the absolute best products available on the market, whilst delivering exceptional service and comprehensive advice unrivalled elsewhere.

Background

The concept of Organism was generated by owners Toby Brown and John Ottley whilst in employment at an existing pet store during 2001. During this employment both Toby and John played an active role in setting up a new aquatic department in the store’s new location, and successfully introduced many new ideas to the retailer. However, with a combined ten years of experience retailing in the industry, along with a life time interest of keeping fish and plants the duo felt it was time to create their own retail store to make the most of their ideas and concepts. The pair identified a gap in the pet industry where no other retailer was offering an extensive range of aquatic life and exotic plants, and also were convinced that the customers in this particular market deserved a much higher quality service than that which was currently available to them. So with a desire to bring something a little different to the pet retailing market, Organism was officially opened for business on the 9th of February, 2002 placing an emphasis on top product selection, presentation, comprehensive advice and overall innovative new approach to retailing.
