As seen on the map, the capital of the Philippines is found near the center of Metro Manila, on the western side of Luzon. On the world itself the city is found approximately 590 miles southeast of Hong Kong, and 1491.36 northeast of Singapore. East of Manila Bay, the city is bisected by the Pasig River. Neighboring cities surrounding Manila include Pasay City to the South, Makati City to the southeast, Mandaluyong City of the east, Quezon City to the northeast, and finally Calooncan City to the north.
