| nearly human tour - track 1 - todd giving the engineer shit track 2 - 3 - whoever recorded this (jean we suspect) was in the vocal booth with todd and the background singers. this is not a rehearsal of just the vocalits, just a couple of takes recorded in the vocal booth. Todd was behind his own baffles while the bg singers were in the same room. you can hear the faint sound of the band coming through the glass doors between the two rooms track 4 - todd banter track 5 - 6 - recorded from the control room off the speakers. these were takes that were done throughout the day, some went further into the song than others. But this is how the day progressed. Todd just kept running down the song, sometimes he would do just a specific part of the song, other times would let it go through to the end track 7 - banter in the green room during a break before the mood altered takes were done. as you can hear jean, ed & michele were goofing around, sending messages to merf. this was standard for the entire album recording progress track 8 - one of those mood altered takes. recorded in the control room track 9 - banter between modd altered takes track 10 - mood altered take. recorded int he control room track 11 - banter in the control room before play back of mood altered take track 12 - playback of mood altered take in the control room with entire band listening track 12 - todd giving vince welnick shit about thinking abuot going on the road with the tubes again. in todd's way attempting to boost vince's confidence to go out and do different things, not the same old shit he was doing shortly after this vince did get a gig wtih the grateful dead. todd along with everyone else were pretty hammered at this point. |
