The following message is on Adam Wakeman's Website and as Damian is involved in the album, I have included it here:

ADAM WAKEMAN

Delta Music have recently released the Yes tribute album, 'Wonderous' as a budget priced album which contains many mistakes.  Adam says,  "I was not given proofing of the finished release and am fuming that it has been released as a sub standard album ... some of the details about the tracks are misleading and incorrect.

"A lot of time and effort went into recording this album which should be called 'The Revealing Songs of Yes', and I had artwork specially commissioned for the release.  I am urging proper fans to wait another month or so and purchase the real release to be on sale in the UK on The Store For Music label ... I will do all I can to make sure that the people that buy the album are not getting ripped off."  More details will be available on www.thestoreformusic.com

The following information is on Adam Wakeman's new site concerning two new albums featuring Damian:

THE REVEALING SONGS OF YES vol.1.

adam.jpg (47931 bytes)A tribute album dedicated to the band YES, produced by Adam and featuring guest vocals by Judie Tzuke, Chrissie Hammond, Dougie White, Eddie Hardin, Steve Overland and Damian Wilson due for release Summer 2001. Also includes Rick Wakeman playing Hammond Organ on "ROUNDABOUT".

The band is Adam Wakeman on Keyboards, Lee Pomeroy on bass, Richard Brook on Drums and Ant Glynn on guitars.

JERONIMO ROAD

For anyone who can remember back to 27th July 1996, and happened to have been in the West London music venue "The Orange" You would probably remember the last show by Jeronimo Road. First formed in 1995 by Adam and guitar player Fraser T-Smith (Of Craig David fame) the band was folded after a short live airing. However, a desk recording that emerged from this show, demonstrating true 90’s progressive funk rock at its best, is being mastered March 2001 for a Japan and possible U.S release.

It will include three studio tracks recorded with Tony Fernandez on drums. Keep posted to this site for details. Other band members were Phil Williams on Bass (Tony Hadley band) Damian Wilson on vocals (Landmarq and Threshold) and Mark Heaney on Drums (Seahorses).

FEBRUARY 2001

Damian will be appearing with Rick Wakeman and the New English Rock Ensemble in Fowey, Cornwall on Thursday May 17th. Tickets are now on sale from the Box office which you can call on 01726 77477.

JANUARY 2001

Tracks from the new album will appear on the Official Website at roughly two weekly intervals. The second track which is called 'Brightest Way' should appear on February 3rd.

__________________________________

On the Official website there is a message on the board about Damian's new solo CD 'Disciple'.  They will be putting up a track from the new album at regular intervals. The first should be up by the 21st of January and will be the title track from the album 'Disciple'.

DECEMBER 2000

There is a message on Damian's official website on the message board from Damian concerning an accident that occured in South America recently while he was on tour with Rick Wakeman. The relevant part of the message is as follows:

I would like to say sorry for not answering the many messages on the site and in my personal mail, as I should. My excuse is that I managed to come back from South America, having burnt both my retinas! The specialist has never seen anything like it, and of course I hoped against hope that my two blind-spots would improve, but that has not happened. But life goes on, and I can put up with a degree of difficulty that I am finding. I just hope it won't stop you all sending me messages, as I do enjoy hearing from you. Thankyou, thankyou for your support over the last year, and I do wish you all great happiness. With love from Damian.

OCTOBER 2000

We have just heard that Damian has been knocked out in the first round of the 'Voice of Musical Theatre' competition. Damian is not too unhappy about it and maybe he was considered too experienced as he has played Jean Valjean in the Les Miserables UK Tour.

The semi-finals are held on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th October. Should Damian reach the  semi-finals, we will not know which of those two days, until Monday 23rd in the evening. We will announce which day on both sites.  The six finalists can be seen performing on stage on Saturday 28th October  We will keep you informed all the way, on both sites. The numbers reduce from 44 to 12 for the semi-finals. Then to 6 for the Finals. There are entries from all over the world. It should be a good show, and a great competition. Fingers crossed everyone.

GROW OLD ALONG WITH ME

As a follow up to the news in June that Damian would be recording a duet with Alex Sharpe, this recording session at Abbey Road Studios, was filmed by the BBC for the programme 'Look North'. Damian gave a very short interview in which he explained that it was suggested to him that he should use the Sheffield City Youth Ochestra for the backing. Originally it was only meant to be on his album, but in the interview he said "I'd like to see it released as a single as part of the anniversary of John Lennon's death, but we'll see what happens".

There were small parts of the song to be heard in the item and it sounds beautiful. The two voices blend together so well and using this young enthusiastic orchestra makes the recording sound very different to the original by John Lennon.

I have added another interview to the page,  this time an interview with Damian by Martin Hudson from the Classic Rock Society magazine 'Wondrous Stories'.
