BIOGRAPHY
Damian is a singer and musician who has had a very varied
career. He has played with progressive rock bands, been named Rock Singer of the Year for four years by the Classic Rock Society and has also toured with the UK cast of Les
Miserables.
Damian comes from
Woking, Surrey in England. He started off playing in bands at local clubs and colleges.
Around 1991, Damian became a member of the band 'Landmarq' and featured on their debut album, 'Solitary Witness'
which was released in 1992, followed by a second album, 'Infinity Parade' in 1993. During this period with 'Landmarq', Damian also took time out to record with Threshold, a Surrey-based band formed in 1988. Their first album 'Wounded Land'
was released in 1993 and was very well received by the European music
press.
Shortly after the release of this
album, Damian left to try his luck in America and was soon offered a recording
deal with Killer records. He was asked to front the band 'La Salle' along with
Neil Murray (Whitesnake), David Palmer (Jethro Tull) and Guy Fletcher (Dire
Straits).

On his return to England, Damian
decided that he really wanted to concentrate on his own material and to record a
solo album, something that he had been thinking about for a long time. In the
meantime, he continued to front other bands and in 1995 recorded 'The Vision
Pit' with Landmarq.
In 1996, Damian joined up with
Threshold again to record their third album 'Extinct Instinct'. The album was
followed by a successful tour of Europe.
In 1997, Damian's long-awaited solo
album 'Cosmas' was released. This album was a departure from the
heavy/progressive rock sound that his fans had been used to. It is made up of
beautifully orchestrated ballads to folksy sounding songs.

To many people's surprise Damian
left the rock music scene behind and joined the UK Touring Cast of Les Misérables in 1998. He was soon playing the lead role twice a week
and continued to do so until the tour ended in March 2000.
Since the end of the UK tour,
Damian has recorded with Arjen Lucassen on his two new Ayreon albums and is also working on solo projects including his new
album which is to be
called 'Disciple'.
He has
also recorded a single of John Lennon's last song 'Grow old Along with Me'
together with Alex Sharpe and the Sheffield Youth Orchestra.
In 2000 and
2001, Damian has been touring with Rick Wakeman as part of the New English Rock
Ensemble. The tours have included two very successful visits to South America,
Poland, Italy and the UK.
