South’s technology lab unveils a wide variety of career options for their students.  With it, all students have the opportunity to explore different fields of the work force.  Using a program called Bridges, students can experiment with the careers and take tests to determine what field fits their profile best.   Bridges surveys the students for their interests, habits, and talents.

We also have two great computer labs, accessible to students during the school hours for projects, papers, or research. Our media center has a large section of research materials, periodicals, and each computer at the work station is equipped with an excellent program called OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog)  for finding literature and periodicals of several subjects and authors.  Along with the state of the art computers, the lab is also equipped with a scanner that students may use for their PowerPoint presentations.

Each classroom is equipped with five computers and one color printer.  These are also available to students for class projects.  Students usually use them to research and type their final products.  Teachers use them to record and organize their student's grades with a program called Grade Quick.  Attendance is now recorded on these computers, also.
