DaLynn's Blog
I'm going to try to keep this  site updated with my latest pages. I generally take pictures of my pages to load onto scrapbooking message board sites anyway, and I thought my family and friends may enjoy seeing them in an easier-to- view format. Any and all feedback or comments welcome!
It's July now, and I've still not had a chance to scrap in a while. You might remember, though, that in April I did a record amount of pages, and so I'll put more of those up for your viewing! I'm trying to not put so many pictures on a page because I know a lot of you have dialup. Scroll down to see my work!

Organizing supplies, making page kits, reorganizing photos

In July, I've been busy doing a lot of homeschool reorganizing and planning and haven't gotten to scrap really. I hope to start up again in August!
I co-own a scrapbooking yahoogroup with my friend, Jenn. She is putting together some games and challenge ideas for the month, and I plan to participate in those. I also have a couple of issues of Scrapbooks, ETC here and ready to inspire!
I haven't really tried anything new lately, but with easing back into the habit of scrapping, I'll probably start with some simple techniques. One of my favorites is paper tearing. Yes, it's as easy as it sounds - you tear the paper.
If you want a white edge, you'll need paper that has a white core. Hold the paper with the color side facing you, and pull towards yourself with your right hand. This will expose the white core of the paper. Of course, if you only want rough color and no white showing, tear away from yourself, or simply  use paper that is colored all the way through the core.
You can ink these edges or leave them plain. I use them to imitate snow, or portray messiness with my three boys and their pages. Try it on a photo matt, or a journal box, or on the end of a tag!
