| In our homeschooling, we're starting a few new things. Christian will begin to study history chronologically, starting with Genesis and the Creation. We'll be incorporating Biblical history right along side of world history. Drew and Brandon will also begin regular studies. For them, I'm using a Bible - based curriculum (with additional resources) to study not only the Bible stories in order, but also phonics, letters, numbers, colors, science, literature, and so much more! I've expanded our homeschool page to include specifics for each of our subjects, so check that out. Also, I've finally found a blog! My link is on every page. |

| We are about to embark on a new school 'season' on Monday, July 30. I say 'season' because we school year-round, taking breaks often and as needed, and so the term 'year' doesn't really fit. I've been working to plan this out, and have it down! I can't wait to get started! The boys will attend one last Vacation Bible School next week, from Monday through Wednesday. Even Brandon gets to go to this one!. It will be evening, and close to the house, and, as I said, it's only three days long. Also on that Monday, we'll start our new school schedule and outline. (If you haven't checked out my expanded homeschooling pages, you should go see what we're studying! I've also found a blog, similar to MySpace only it's geared towards homeschoolers. See my link on any page!) The new schedule includes scheduled learning activities for the two younger boys. Bill and I will have our sixth anniversary on Saturday, August 4. He plans to have the night off, and we've found a babysitter right next door! Also, Brandon's birthday is Monday the 6th! |
