| Dalton Volunteer Fire Department covers an area of 30 square miles, up to 50 square miles. The Township of Kingston, Dalton is located on the southwestern-most end of Green Lake County. We protect a primarily rural community made up mainly of Amish and dairy farmers. Dalton Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1950 by George Vinz who was the Fire Chief for 30 years. His son Richard Vinz is the retired as Chief a position he held for over 17 years. The current Fire Chief is Duwane Marwitz. Dalton Fire Department operates out of one station with 7 pieces of fire equipment. In addition, we also run a First Responder unit in cooperation with the Southern Green Lake County Ambulance out of Markesan. We are over 20 members strong and are always looking for new members. |
