The Focus Group and others have been working hard at finding new premises. Millerfield Road has always been temporary, and the search for new premises is progressing well. However, further work is required with respect to carrying out a feasibility study and securing capital funding if we are to move to and refurbish the vacant shop unit on Springfield Road.
The Focus Group and others have been working hard at the new premises issue, and has presented its findings to many local parties. It is hoped that we will have settled into new premises this time next year. The Focus Group has been bringing well-researched work to the Management Committee, and it is our hope that the Focus Group will become a constituted subgroup of the full DYP Management Committee.
I would like to thank Seonaid Delmore for all the work she did for the Project. Unfortunately she had to resign from the chair of the Management Committee due to personal commitments. This does cause us some problems, and as always we do appeal to anyone that feels they can help the Project in any way to please come forward and offer their services. We are always looking for help.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Management Committee, staff, student (Becky), and last but by no means least, the young people, whose hard work and commitment to the Project has been outstanding.
I look forward to more great things happening in the Project in the coming year.
