The Cows are perhaps the most troublesome kritters on the farm. If cows can possibly be spoiled, these are! They never know what they want and are bawling most of the day regardless if they have food infront of their face or not. I never did want cattle until my dad bought 4 head of Herefords off of my uncle in '96 when he decided to begin his little hobby farm. The trouble started once the cattle were loaded off the truck. Nobody cared to see if my dear Murry was locked up in her stall or not as they were unloaded into her pasture. Big, big mistake! Murr ended up chasing the poor girls right through the fences and into the bush. They lived in the bush for around 5 months. Many attempts were made to round them
back up but with the bush being so dense, we werent able to succeed. One day
we got a phonecall from our uncle, the girls were at their old home 5 miles away. God knows how they got there. Since then, our herd continues to multiply each year come calving season.
