The Parade

Hanmers very own Santa Parade was filled with lots of cars, people
and lollies, even a sausages to be chucked at people right off the bbq.
After the parade had finished a helicopter dropped buckets of lollies
everywhere on the field.
Carols in the Park

On Saturday evening the
scouts went to Hanmers
great Carol Singers Show
where we watched and
listened to them sing us a story of Joy to the World and others for about 30 minutes, then we walked back to the den for dinner.
Food (YUM)

When it came to food everyone was there to help clean it up.  We were
split into 3 patrols, and we had duties in that patrol to feed the entire
troop and clean up afterwards.

Patrol 1 cooked Sat breakfast, Partrol 2 cleaned the dishes, Patrol 3
made Sat lunch, Patrol 1 cleaned the dishes etc
A Scout in Need

When one scout is in trouble everyone will come to his
rescue, whether its getting him in the car, or simply
getting a clean tissue or hanky to cover the wound,
everyone stepped in to help their fellow scout.

Bike Track

On Saturday morning after breakfast we all went for a bike ride up the hill which took about an hour and a half there and back.  A few turned back early because of their bikes condition, the rain or their own condition.  Although the got back soaking wet and muddy that had a great time all the same, in fact some said it was better wet than dry.
The Den & Tents

At about 6.30pm everyone arrived to help pack the trailer including bags, bikes, helmets, food and other supplies needed for the trip.  We left about 7.00pm for Hanmer Springs in our assigned cars. When we got there about 9.00pm we set up the boundaries and sleeping places and tents - girls in one boys split between the other two, the adults would sleep in the den along with our bags.
Hanmer Springs Camp (one Scouts perspective)
Swimming

On Sunday morning we
travelled to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve where we spent 2 hours going in almost every pool and having lots of fun. The hot pools were nice and relaxing while the cooler pools were really fun and cool.  If you don't wear sun block you'll wear the marks of a fool.
