William Devane

DEVANE WAS BORN ON SEPTEMBER 5TH, 1940 IN ALBANY, N.Y., and began to get interested in acting through his neighborhood´s theatre activity. After that he got a degree at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts of New York and debuted professionally as a lancecarrier, getting paid 10 dollars per week, in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. In 1971 he rendered the N.Y. audiences a critically acclaimed new Broadway montage of ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST.

TV watchers still remember his charismatic incarnation of John F. Kennedy in THE MISSILES OF OCTOBER, which reported him an EMMY nomination in 1975. He was nominated again in 1976 for his role of John Henry Faulk in FEAR ON TRIAL. Other remarkable TV parts include Sargeant Milt Warden in the mini-series FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, with Natalie Wood. He repeated this role in its spin-off series: FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, THE WAR YEARS.
Devane also starred in a number of TV Movies, among them RED FLAG, THE OTHER VICTIM, JANE DOE, THE PREPPIE MURDERS and MURDER C.O.D.

Devane has worked side by side with such talented actors as DUSTIN HOFFMAN and LAURENCE OLIVIER in MARATHON MAN, and VANESSA REDGRAVE in YANKS. He was also directed by legendary ALFRED HITCHCOCK in his last movie FAMILY PLOT. Besides he has starred in the films THE BAD NEWS BEARS IN BREAKING TRAINING, ROLLING THUNDER, THE DARK, REPORT TO THE COMMISSIONER, VITAL SIGNS and TESTAMENT, co-starring JANE ALEXANDER.
BILL DEVANE continued his long-running career with other series (like PHENOM, THE MONROES, TURKS, LOIS & CLARK, STARGATE SG-1, 24 or CRUMBS) and big-screen movies (PAYBACK, AIR FORCE ONE, SPACE COWBOYS or HOLLOW MAN.
3-time SODA winner and GOLDEN GLOBE nominee for his role of GREG, he got 2 more EMMY nominations for other parts as well. Currently he works both as an actor and restaurant owner, and plays polo too. He has been married for about 40 years to the same woman and fathered 2 sons.

KEVIN DOBSON WAS BORN ON MARCH 18TH MARCH, 1943 in Jackson Heights, a Queens community in Manhattan where he grew up. In 1966 his then fiancée and today wife, asked him for first time to try to find acting jobs in commercials, as he attended the New York University and got his train driver licence for the Long Island Railroad.
Not long after he got his first audition for the play THE IMPOSSIBLE YEARS, starring TOM EWELL, and was cast for playing the comedy in 44 states and 98 cities. The end of the tour brought him back to New York City, where he checked in the respeted Neighborhood Playhouse of Sanford Meisner. Never afraid of hard-working, Dobson got a number of jobs well-known for most actors in N.Y.: waiter, bartender and taxi driver. His persistence paid off and won supporting roles in movies like LOVE STORY, KLUTE and FRENCH CONNECTION, all of them shot in N.Y.C. It was then when he appeared in a lot of “off-Broadway” plays.
In 1971 Dobson moved to Los Angeles and quickly got a part in one episode of THE MOD SQUAD. By then his daytime work was being a fireman at the Santa Fe Railroad. Followed a replacement role in the L.A. revival of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and then his big break: playing Detective CROCKER in the popular show KOJAK.
5 years and over 100 episodes after that, Dobson had become a celebrity for the millions of KOJAK fans, calling the attention of the K.L.´s producers when they were casting MACK MACKENZIE, honest Federal D.A. who ends up marrying KAREN. Dobson has appeared in a wide range of projects since he came to Hollywood, including starring roles in the series SHANNON and TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED. His TV credits also include TRANSPLANT, ORPHANS´ TRAIN, HARDHAT AND LEGS, REUNION, MARK, I LOVE YOU; MICKEY SPILLANE´S MIKE HAMMER and SWEET REVENGE.
In 1979 he achieved the United States Jaycees Award for the most outstanding american young men in their professional career and the community service. His favorite charity activity is the Foundation against the Pigmentose Retinitis, the Association against the Muscular Distrophia, JWCC, and the Special Olympics, to which he devotes a lot of his free time.
Since 1993 KEVIN has only acted regularly in 2 serialized shows: the TV version of F/X as Detective McCarthy, and daytime soap opera ONE LIFE TO LIVE. In addition he has guest-starred in single episodes of NASH BRIDGES, TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL or BURKE´S LAW, as in several TVM´s. In 2005 he has co-starred with JOHN BECK in a big-screen movie: CRASH LANDING, unrelated to his former show.
MACK MACKENZIE´s role provided him 5 SODA´s and established his reputation as an excellent actor already displayed in the show KOJAK. Father of 3 children, he has been over 40 years married to the same woman, and also has experience as a TV director.
