The suretor for the marriage was William H. MONG, the minister Lewis Wilson. David and Susan STEWART lived in Berkeley. David was a farmer. The children are listed in the 1850 through 1870 Berkeley Co. census. In 1870 James Gregory 20, m b. VA, a farm laborer was in the household. (FH30, WVBE1,

After the death of his first wife, he m. 1 Dec 1904, Berkeley Co., WV, Virginia ALBERTIS, b. c1861, Berkeley Co., s/o Samue and Susan ALBURTIS. Of the three known children, I've listed the 3rd. child with reservations; the date of her birth, would place her mother's age at 61, and being born 20 years after the marriage of her parents. I feel there is a mistake in some of the dates. The census records should bare some light on this situation. (WVBE1) Childen:
