200 Johann Wilhelm LEYMEISTER, b. c1690, in Germany, d. c1778, in PA, m (201) wife unknown, arrived in Philadelphia 7 Sep 1748 on the ship Hampshire. He was a farmer and blacksmith who settled in Berks Co., PA. Either he or his son, William, appeared on the Bern Twp., Berks Co., PA Tax List in 1752. He was naturalized 4 Nov 1761, and appear on Bern Twp. tax records until c1778 when he must have died. He brought with him one son, William, and a second son Andrew was born about 2 years after Johann's arrival in America. There is no record of his parents or wife, or other children. In 1767, Hans Wilhelm is a resident of Bern Twp., Berks Co.; and Hans William LEIMEISTER, farmer, with 200 acres, 2 horses, 2 cattle, was taxed 10 pounds in Bern Twp. Johann is buried at Bellman's Church, Berks Co., PA. (FH3, PABEB19p8,20, 27, 35, US2, WVBEB7 p106-107)

200.1 William LEYMASTER, b. 1740, Germany, d. c1817, came to America with his father, Johann Wilhelm, in 1748. He is buried Bellman's Churchyard, Center Twp., Berks Co., PA, m. Elizabeth WAGNER, b. 1730s, d. 1822. William served in the Revolutionary war under Capt Sebastion Emrick, 3rd. Battalion Militia. He was classified as 6th. class. He took the Oath of Allegiance, 22 Mar 1761. He continued to farm the home place after his father's death, while brother Andrew operated the blacksmith shop. In 1767 Hans William LEIMASTER was taxed 10 pounds for 200 acres, 2 horses, and 2 cattle. On 17 Sep 1783 he witnessed the will of Joseph Zumbrah, Bern Twp., Berks Co. On 25 Feb 1797, he witnessed the will of Peter Meyer of Manheim, PA. On 27  Elizabeth's will written 25 Dec 1819, probated 12 Oct 1822, Berks Co., PA. She names daughter Elizabeth Werner KLEIN,  and sons Jacob, Philip, and Jonathan William's will names children not found in Elizabeth's will, and the husbands of his daughters. William of Bern on 27 Dec 1806, was administrator of Peter MIERS' will, and on 6 Apr 1807, will proven and letters of Test. granted. Jacob witnessed the marriage of Johannes Eberly and Elisaeth Leicht, d/o Adam Leicht on 15 Dec 1825 at Lykins Valley Lower Church at Upper Paxtang, Dauphn Co., PA. He witnessed the marriage of Michael Baurerman s/o Johannes Bauerman, and Maria Schitz d/o George Schitz on 12 Dec 1826, at Lykins Valley Lower Church. (FH3, PAB10, PABEB26 p606)

200.1c Philip LEMASTER, b. 1773/4, d. 13 Dec 1846, m. 24 Jun 1794, First Refomed Congregation, Reading, Catherine RINCHEL/RUNCKLE, d/o Jacob RUNCKEL, Bern, Berks Co., PA. Both were from Bern Twp., Berks Co., PA. Philip m. 2nd. Rebecca _____. Catherine is named in her father's will. Buried at Origsburg. (FH3, PABEB36, PABEB26 p312, 606)

200.1d Catherine LEMASTER, b. 1771, d. 9 Mar 1843, m. Peter MIERS (MYERS) Jr., b. 10 Apr 1773, Lancaster Co., PA, d. 24 Apr  1854, Circleville, OH. Peter MIERS was administrator of William LEMASTER'S will. (FH3, PABEB26 p606)

200.1e Magdalena LEMASTER, m. 28 Aug 1801, Peter KLEIN d. 1807, Berks Co., PA; Magdalena m. m. 2nd. c1808, John WAGNER. They lived Jefferson Twp., Berks Co., PA. Peter KLEIN'S will written 24 Nov 1806, probated 8 apr 1807, left his plantation, his personal property, and the remainder of his inheritance from his parents to his wife Magdalena. William LEYMASTER, his father-in-law was one of the executors. (FH3, PABEB26 p181, 606)
