404-Yoost (Yost)HECK, b. c1698, probably in the Palatinate, Germany, d. 23 Dec 1760, Bern, Berks Co., PA, m. Eva (Eve) Marie _____?, b. c1698, probably in the Palatinate, Germany. Yoost and his wife Eva Maria, landed in Philadelphia, 28 Sep 1733, along with two of their children, Johan Jacob, age 6, and Anna Catherine, age 10. He appears on the Bern Twp. Berks Co. Tax List in 1752. They were transported to America on the Brigantine Richard and Elizabeth. They settled in Chester Co., PA, what is now Bern, Berks Co. on 22 May 1745, Yost and Eva Maria sponsored Eva Maria d/o Leonard Haver and Clara Ditzler at Bern Church. On 17 Sep 1742 they sponsored Jost, s/o Leonard Henn and Eliza, at Bern Church. The source FH30, states that Yoost d. in Morgantown, VA in 1768. It would appear from his will that he died in Berks Co. prior to 1760, and from land records, he seemed to have remained in Berks Co.On 23 Dec 1760 Eva Maria the widower, was admistrator of his will. His children, other than those who came to America with him are not known, but records in Berks Co., give proof of other children, and circumstantial evidence of others. 404.3- Joseph HECK, on 21 Aug 1755, became administrator to the will of Peter Hermerkin, whose widow, Maria Catherine renounced the position of administrator. (FH26, 30, PABEB30 p7)
404.4-George Michael HECK. On 14 Apr 1763, George Michael HECK m. Anna Catherine SCHUMACHER. George had a warrant for 30 acres of land in Bern Twp., on 8 Aug 1765. (PABEB22)
404.5-Anna Margaret HECK, bpt. 12 Jul 1739, m. after 1850.Sebastian BENTER. Margaret, on 8 Dec 1779, renounced the position of administrator in favor of her brother, and her husband's brother-in-law, John HECK, which would have been Johann Jacob HECK. On 21 Jan 1750, Anna Margaretha HECKIN sponored the baptism of Anna Margaretha GUSEMAN. (PABEB15 p31, 16, 18, 21)
