426 Michael BAUGHMAN, d. 1755/56, parent unknown, m. (427)Catherine _____?
Michael took oath at the courthouse in Philadelphia, 2nd. Nov 1744, imported on Ship
Friendship, Capt. John Mason, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes. He was early
settler in Manheim Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. His will dated 28 Mar 1755 was
probated in Lancaster Co., PA, 30 Oct 1756. His sons Michael and Christian were
named executors. The witnesses were Jacob Meyer, Ulrick Tott, and Charles Morse.
In his will he left Catherine, his wife '200 pounds, a stove room in the house,
use of the kitchen cellar, and part of the garden. Her son Peter was to provide
for his mother 15 bushels of wheat, 15 bushels of malt to make beer, 2 barrels
of cider, 3 gallons of rye or apple liquour, 100 pounds of pork, 50 pounds of
beef, apples to dry, hemp and flax, firewood, a horse to ride, a cow to milk,
and her choice of a cow every spring. In his will he left large tracts of land
