| This is where all things come from, God. There is no other reasonable explanation for things. If you try to say that we came from a big bang and you are the descendants of a monkey then you have to deal with astronomical odds being against you on such a subject. You also have to fight against all of the evidence that their is in this world of a created ORDER and not chaos. Chaos cannot turn into order. To say the universe came from a big explosion is about as intelligent as my throwing a grenade into my room and it coming out clean. You could also say the computer I am working on came from a huge blender of computer parts. Wouldn't make sense though does it? Design implies a designer by necessity. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This God of which I am speaking also has a Law. Not only is He Creator His is also a King and a Lawgiver. The first law God made was for our first parents Adam and Eve not to eat the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. God made these beings to live and rely upon him and they did for a time. However, when they thought they could live life apart from God and so ate the tree of knowledge of good and evil and broke God's command to obey. This resulted in 3 things. 1) Man is now mortal, 2) Man has a sinful nature which was passed on to all of the sons of Adam. This sin nature restricts us from desiring to obey God. It also puts Adam's sin on us. 3)Man stands condemned as a sinner before God and will go to hell if He does not lovingly obey God. It is not that God does not want to show mercy. It is that He is just and must judge sin. All men are sinners and so all men must be judged. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Now you may ask yourself: What I have I done to make God angry? 1) You are a son of Adam, so God's wrath abides on you. 2)You have broken all of God's Laws, as I have. How? You ask. Let me list the Ten Commandments | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1) You shall have no other gods before me. 2) You shall not make for yourself an idol. 3) You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. 4) Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. 5) Honor your father and your mother. 6) You shall not murder. 7) You shall not commit adultery. 8) You shall not steal. 9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor 10) You shall not covet your neighbor's house...wife...or anything that is your neighbors. | Now have you ever disrespected your parents? If you say no then that makes you a liar and you automatically break commandment nine. Have you ever stolen? If you are you are theif. If you have ever even lusted according to Jesus' words you are an adulterer (Matthew 5:28). Have you ever worked on a Sunday when it wasn't an absolute necessity? Have you ever you used God's name as you would a four letter word? Have you ever thought of anything more important than God? Have you ever desired anything of your neighbors. If you say no to any of these then that still makes you a liar. Since you have broken these commandments just as I have you stand before God condemned as a sinner. You have probably done these things more than once. My purpose in telling you this is to get you to see that your are condemned before just God as a sinner who needs to be saved. You are a dead man who is in need of being raised from the dead. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| God who is in control of everything provided a solution to this problem before the world began. God the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world. Now Jesus is God. He is God's equal. Jesus is the King of Planet Earth right now as we speak. Jesus came into the world born of the virgin Mary. Jesus was and is both God and Man at the same time. One hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. He lived a perfect life in the world keeping all of God's commands. He was then crucified by the predetermined plan of God on a cross by Roman soliders at the bidding of the Jews and died for the sins of many people. He died to redeem sinners like you and mean who are incapable of keeping God's Law because of our radical corruption. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Not only did Jesus die on the cross but after being dead for three days, He came back to life powerfully. He came back in an indestructible body. Proving Himself to be God, and the Promised Son of Man who would rule the nations. He sits right now at God the Father's right hand ruling over the nations as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Recieving those who come to Him by faith and rejecting those who will not have His mercy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| So what must you do? You must come to the Lord Jesus in prayer, beg Him for mercy. Ask Him to give you new eyes and a new heart to believe. Turn away from your sins and trust in Christ only to save you. Continue to trust Him by obeying what the Bible teaches. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
