Rear-Ender
Home Up Rear-Ender A4 vs Guardrail

It was a wonderful sunny spring day, I was on the way home from work when my life was altered (or at least my Audi's life anyway). I was stopped on a major road for a school bus that was unloading, by major I mean the speed limit is 45mph and there is usually a lot of traffic. Without getting into much detail, apparently this dumb high school girl and her friends (no offence to any HS gals reading this) didn’t see the big yellow "twinkie" sitting in the road with it’s red flashers going. Well I saw her coming and realized she wasn’t going to stop, so I did the only thing I could do, I mashed my brakes and pulled the emergence brake, you see there where little ones crossing the road directly in front of me. Well obviously she didn’t stop, she hit me going between 45 and 50 and never hit her brakes, I know this because the woman behind her saw the whole thing happen. Needless to say my baby was hurt big time, it took ~3 months and almost 16,000.00 USD to fix her, the stupid ass insurance company wouldn’t total her out unless the damage was at least 75% of the cars value. Unfortunately the car was only 8 months old and the value was too high, so they fixed her, all of the shops did a good job (so I thought) but the car will never be the same!!!! Here are some pictures, unfortunately my digital camera was destroyed as it was in the trunk and I didn’t get a new one until after the bodywork had been completed. But I did get some shots of when they were replacing the “guts” of my car. A little warning the full size pictures are 1024x680 so keep that in mind when clicking on the thumbnails =).
