Here is the "real" story behind the witches grave.
In the late 1700's early 1800's there was an older woman, she was in her mid 40's, who was raped by two men. The men were brothers. This woman because of the rape was pregnant. One of the two men was the father of her little girl. The men denied everything and when the woman went to the sheriff he did nothing. Some said that the woman went insane. Well anyway she had her child and it was a little girl. This girl looked exactly like a doll she was perfect in every way. Some said the she looked like an angel some the devil. The story goes on to say that as time went on the girl grew into a beautiful woman. Although never directly snubbed by the townspeople because they felt sorry for her she heard every story that was ever told about her mother. After a while this got to her and she swore to get back at the men who had done this to her. She learned the black arts from a gypsy that had come over to escape persecution in the old country. around the time she was 20 her mother died. With out the hate of her mother driving her on she lost the passion to make others pay because she was sweet nature by heart. A few years later she fell in love with a man from town and they could only see each other secretly because of the stigma attached to her name. One night she had a vision. It was of her mother telling her who the two men were that had raped her so many years ago. One of the men was her loves father! Well she went a little mad and started using what the gypsy had taught her. Soon all of the men in the town would come and see her it was like they were obsessed. The women of the town started calling her a witch and soon they had a judge in town. Well the judge fell under her spell and acquitted her of the charges. Many families were moving out of the area and some of the townswomen were falling ill. One night a terrible storm fell upon the town and many people died that night. the next day what was left of the town decided to rid themselves of their "Witch" . As she burned she cursed the townspeople and all of their descendants. Years later in the 1950's a man decided to build a farm house on the site of the old witches cabin. The townspeople had buried the witch on her property and had given her a marker in the hopes to appease her in death. The man came across this and decided to have the grave moved. He had it and her remains moved and soon nothing good came of anything he did his family died and his farm house burned down. he had the grave moved back to it's original spot before he left the town for good. I know that this story sounds really far fetched and the dates are not real specific but if you look it up there was an outbreak of some mysterious influenza where half of the town died.
