How to Get to Dairycon

A Few Simple Rules...

Convention Policies

1) We've been informed by the hotel that no food or drink can be brought in to the convention. Their rules, not mine. I certainly can't stop you from bringing in a sub if you're hungry, but if we get kicked out, it's gonna be on your head. There are places to eat just across the street.

2) As always, this is just a small, private little affair. We're here to have fun, not to cause trouble. So everyone, please behave. Under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. As this is an adult affair, only those over 18 can pre-register. Note to parents: feel free to bring the kids, just tell us their names so we can assign them a slot and a badge. No seperate pre-reg for them is necessary. This also applies to spouses, cousins, your buddies, and your girlfriend; just *tell* us who you are bringing, and their name. They DO NOT NEED a seperate pre-reg form, and in-point of fact we discourage such things. Think of it this way; one pre-reg covers the whole family.

3) We're not charging anyone for this. It's free to show up. It's free to hang out. That's what we do. We're giving away little trinkets out of the goodness of our hearts, a little something to remember us by, 'cause we love you guys. This whole affair has cost us some major bucks over the years, and we have no real way to make it back. So stop telling us it's about the money. We're throwing a party for our friends. To those of you who have generously donated to help cover the vastly increased cost of the room this year, we give you our heartfelt thanks.

4) One trinket per pre-registrant. That's the rule. There's going to be a raffle, so you have the same shot as everyone else for another one. Come to the first booth on the left and present your driver's license (or for those who have it, your DTF membership card). We'll say howdy, cross ya off the list, and give you your goodies. Attendance is required. No, you can't pick up your buddy's pre-reg packet for him.

5) For those with the aforementioned DTF Membership cards: present your cards to get your little extra something special. Only one per DTF'er. There are exactly enough for the lot of us, no more, no less. It's based on the usage of membership cards from the years previous. If you don't have your card, then you can only get the pre-registrant goodie, not the DTF goodie. You'll still have a chance to win one at the raffle. And of course, if you forgot your DTF card, then for the love of Pete don't forget your Driver's License :-)

6) If y'all need it explained a different way, try this: prior to the show, pre-registrants for Dairycon will have sent in a pre-reg form and recieved in-reply both a confirmation number, and a DTF Attendence Packet. You must be over the age of 18, and in possession of a driver's license, valid state ID, or a DTF Membership Card in order to attend the show. Remember to bring your confirmation number with you. Again, and I can't stress this point enough: Please Do NOT go signing up your wife, girlfriend, or buddy seperately. It is in poor taste, and there's a good chance you'll get both you and your buddy banned from the convention. Fellow transfans are one thing, but signing up your dad or cousin or girlfriend seperately, just to deprive someone else of a toy? That's not gonna be tolerated. It's not worth the hassle, guys. Give it up.

As in previous years, all the *other* information you need to know (such as the status of extra DTF items available at the show) will be sent to you in your confirmation mailing(sent out when pre-reg closes in March). The above-listed info should be enough to get you started.

If the above sounds as though it's become a teensy-bit harsh, our sincere apologies. We've had to refine the rules just a bit over the years. We ask for your patience and understanding in the matter. We strive to give you the best possible experience for the absolute lowest price ('free' seems to be a pretty good price, eh folks?). We think that our commitment to this ideal shows in everything we do.
