Peak Day
First pictures
After ascending the first peak of Mt. Aerosmith, our 23-person group split up as planned.  Half of us went to Jewel Lake, and the other half on to toil to the second peak of Mt. Aerosmith.
Jewel Lake was freezing!  Snowpack-fed, there were actual mini-icebergs floating on the surface.  We swam out to one of them (until it was pushed away -- sorry, Josh!)
Climbing on top ...
Swimming out ... ... And swimming back, totally hysterical with pain. (It's all right, we know things were getting smaller than they should)
Being a girl, the water didn't affect me in quite the same debilitating way.

Your friendly neighbourhood gurus
Climbing up that steep snow face sure was a challenge, eh?
Up on Mt. Kokalee
(you can see Mt. Aerosmith, where we also climbed, directly behind us.)
The leaders: Jack, Madeline, Kris, Donetta, Nick.
After arriving back on Saltspring, some were a little too eager to get everyone swimming ...
The MULLET
(WHY did I let Nicky cut my hair??)
So it's 10pm on the last night of camp -- "so can I cut your hair or what?!" -- I tell Nicky he can do whatever he wants with my hair (provided that some of it is over an inch long, just so I won't get kicked out of my house).
"I'm doing a mullet!" Nicky exclaims, and laughs hysterically.  It's only twenty minutes later, with a headlamp and a pair of baby scissors, that I realize I never should have gotten into this!

It was ugly as sin.  I loved it.
Before
Aftermadness
This pretty much sums up my mood once I got home from such a crazy 2-week camp.
