| The trip got off to a great start, as those of us who'd been camping for a week already managed to shower, wash our clothes (!!) and restock our candy supplies. Then we were off to pick up our new team members, hike Mt. Maxwell, pack up, and head out from Saltspring to Vancouver Island, where we stayed for five days. Setting up base camp a little ways up Mount Aerosmith afforded us some fantastic views of Port Alberni at all hours. The next few days were spent acheiving various peaks and destinations, including Mt. Kokalee, the first and second peaks of Mt. Aerosmith, and Jewel Lake. |
