WIlliam T. Ethridge -- his time is now
The Daily 1835 had decided to endorse Crepe Diem Party candidate William T. Ethridge and his running mate Joyce Lee for this coming Monday's general election.
Ethridge thinks quick on his feet, speaks his mind, has a mind of his own, and does things the way he feel they should be done.  Aside from Andrew Kim/Alan Allmen (B), Ethridge and Lee have the election's most balanced ticket and represent all walks of life.  Ethridge is also a beast on the indoor croquet field.
Although Ethridge may be a longshot in this election, his old roommate is Andy Garland, and he currently lives in the same apartment with Garland.  Therefore, we need to give Ethridge a break.  Ethridge also lives two feet away from co-editor Matthew Cozza and lived down the hall from the Daily 1835 newsroom last year.
A list of up-to-date endorsements will be released tonight.

Most people thought Newton Li was going to run away with the Boba Party nomination before Monday's primary.
"I think Andy [Kim]'s gonna get blown out, man," Kim campaign official Sam Yang said after early returns came in. "I don't think we can do it."
  What little faith everyone had.
Kim proved that he has connections all over the country and used them well. He utilized a bulk of the University of Illinois' largest Christian student fellowship, Covenant Fellowship Church, as well as ties in California, Virginia and Massachusetts to shock everyone and win the nomination.
"I don't know him, my friend Joanne just asked me to vote for him," said UIUC sophomore Irene Byun, who attends CFC. "But I heard he's awesome at the saxophone."
It seems Kim's eloquent speaking ability and vast array of musical talents are starting to finally pay dividends.
"My message is resonating among the people," Kim said as he campaigned at Norris University Center Tuesday night. "I admit I'm tired and a bit burnt out, and I don't know if I can keep going with all this schoolwork I have. But we're gonna try and get this thing done."
The election seems to have spread into UCLA and UC Berkeley as well, as it was reported in both schools that clumps of students who didn't know either Li or Kim squabbled over who to vote for.
Meanwhile, Kim finds himself again the underdog, as Rebecca Tsang (IM) has already set up a national network of voters to help propel her to victory.  She is also using local stud Andrew Ong and his Massachusetts ties to help guide her to a win on Monday.
Tsang is clearly the candidate to beat at this point in time.
Kim seems to have a tight hold on UIC and U of I, but Tsang seems to have support set up elsewhere in the country and has taken many of Newton Li's old endorsers at NU.
In the mix is Ke Xie and William Ethridge, who just received the Daily 1835's endorsement today.  Both candidates are expected to fare decently and may challenege for second place (which also offers a smaller charity money prize).

Daily 1835 Co-Editors Sam Hong and Matthew Cozza discuss this years election in the VIP section of Northwestern University's Library Core.  They wrapped up the business end of the meeting quickly so they could begin discussing the business end of Adam's mom.  (Daily File Photo)
Evanston, Ill.  From the wire -- In response to the unprecedented site traffic the Daily has been having, the editors staged a fake publicity meeting at Core late Wednesday night.
"I never thought I'd see you here, ever,"  Mr. Hong whispered to Mr. Cozza, who had never been to Core before. Editor Cozza went on to insist that he was only there because his girlfriend was.
Other workers in Core noticed Cozza and remarked on how he was out of place.
"You're just here to cause trouble," commented Ricardo O. Bernard after seeing Cozza wandering around with nothing to do, presumably looking for trouble.
"I just couldn't focus in there," Cozza said of the meeting in Core.  "Until we started talking about Adam's mom, then I found myself focusing a little too... hard."
The endorsements were discussed however, and the Daily's endorsement went to Ethridge/Lee for a few reasons, mainly his new business partnership with the Crepe Diem Candidate.
