Characters and Lingo

Time to introduce you to the elements of b-nav. Skip this if you're bored. Also keep in mind as a member of "The Insomniacs" I am writing this at 5:17 AM in the morning, so some of what I say may not make any sense, lol. Well first of all, let's meet:

The ocean:
Calm blue sea. Calm blue sea.

Your Ship:
Outlined in light blue. Shown from all 4 angles, this is a sloop, the smallest and most commonly used type of ship.

Enemy Ship:
Booo... urns. Outlined in light grey. Also shown from all 4 angles. This is your mark, or your maker.

Big Rocks
Unpassable by either ship or cannonball. Good for hiding behind, or ramming your enemy into.

Shoals
Small rocks unpassable by your ship. However they're short enough to fire over.

Wind Currents:
These winds can let you surprise attack an enemy, or hurl you into the shoals.

Whirlpools:
Another enemy to novices, stay away. However, an expert can use whirlpools to crush you before you realize what happened.

Abbreviations and Acronyms

DITW Dead in the water
Means the ship has no more move tokens, and cannot generate any more move tokens due to the high amount of bilge and damage.

FR Fine Rum
Yum. :D

IMPS Imperials
The toughest form of brigand/merchant or pvp crew. Note that almost all imperial crews have at least 1 crappy navver, so it doesn't mean you're toast if you run into one.

LCBs Large Cannon Balls

LSM Last second move
Placing/changing your tokens at the last possible second, as late as you possibly could and still have the moves register.

MCBs Medium Cannon Balls

SCBs Small Cannon Balls

PVP Player Versus Player
When player controlled ships attack other player controlled ships. The most fun form of b-nav IMO. :D
