More to come!
The Darkling Auction House is a veritable fortress. It spans for a full mile, if stretched straight and measured from one end to the other. The front courtyard of the auction house is paved in a "modern" cement with the walkway being a cobblestone path. To the right as you walk up the center of the drive, you will see three whipping posts. The one nearest to the auction house itself has a deep brownish red stain at it's base with what looks like two drag marks that fade away toward the auction house itself. Everything else that seems to be docile and lovely as you make your way toward the front doors. Once at the large front doors of the auction house are made of an old, heavy wood. Though, not only wood makes up the door. A weaving of a heavy metal, perhaps steel though more than likely something even stronger crisscrosses the front and in the center are the lettere DAH in a beautiful script. To the right of the door are two plates upon the wall. The first is the auction house rules for free persons and the second the rules for owned and unowned slaves/submissives.
Before going into the actual layout and desctiption of the auction house itself, let us explain a few of the finer details of the Darkling Auction House grounds. The auction house sits quite squarely upon a time rift. What this means is that time fluctuates so severely at times that though time passes in the lands of Rhy'Din and the surrounding realms at a normal rate, a minute to the rest of the world may be a second or a year to those within. Time travel is possible, though it is best to speak with the Head Master, Gregor before attempting on your own. Because of this fact, you will often see such things as the New York times laying on a table. Or perhaps you will take note that a few of the rooms have electric lights. All of the rooms owned by the members of the house have a palm and genetic match lock next to the hidden door. This is the only way to enter their private chambers. This cuts down on the likelihood of thieves and others that do not belong in our private chambers getting in. Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to the good stuff.
