| ** - All magical items have a unique in game value called "Magic Value" associated with them. Normal items use "Item Point Value", these items use "Magic Value". The higher the value, the rarer the item, and the more (obviously) valuable it is. A standard, fairly "ordinary" magical item has a "Skure Value" of 1. Items of immeasurable value (maybe 1 of a kind) can reach into the hundreds. It is a way of measuring how economically valuable certain items are. To the right is a range of the commonality corresponding Magic Value. | - Common : 1 - 10 (These items can be found without limit.) - Uncommon: 11 - 40 (These are found less often. There may be around ten thousand in Skure.) - Rare: 41 - 100 (More valuable. There may be no more than a thousand in existence.) - Precious: 101 - 200 (Difficult to come by. The whole of Skure may contain no more than a couple hundred or so). This is usually where the most valuable one-use items fall. - Artifact: 201 - 400 (Extremely rare. Artifacts of similar nature exist in no more than maybe 40 pieces. Finding one is a blessing if nothing else). There aren't many artifact items, mostly equipment. - One of a Kind: 401+ (As the title suggests, there is only one of these in the world. BMs will need to have meetings to discuss bringing these into their game since, once it has been found, there can be no other.) Most items do not fall here, only equipment. |
