| LEGEND: Chap. 1 | ||||||
| Cmon, hurry up! Singe urged the wall clock. It wasnt going as fast as he wouldve liked It had been a usual day of High School, sword training, magic 101, fighting techniques. The last class was the most boring, as he knew all of it already, and the teachers voice seemed monotone. Actually, it was. He rested his head in his hands and closed his eyes while the teacher went off about the history of the sword. His imagination wandered to other places, drifting. It was there where he was truly free BRRRING!!! Yes! School was out. The weekend lie ahead, but unlike most kids, he didnt have anything planned for their weekend. He didnt need to. Being alone suited him just fine. Hed stay in his room all day and either draw, or write. Hed play around with his katana as well. It was his favorite sword. It was long, strong, and looked beautiful. The one thing in the world he truly loved. Singe was your average sophomore at Demar High School. Hed lived there all 16 years of his life, so he knew the town pretty well. It wasnt a large town, and he preferred it. He didnt have many friends however, just a few. Even then, he still liked being alone. His hair was spiky, and rather tall. He was decently muscular, but he never was happy. His brown eyes almost seemed black half the time. He walked through the hallways, avoiding everyone. His gaze was always looking down. No one could quite figure out why he wanted to be alone all the time, even his two closest friends, Silvanus and Rosa. They were unlike any other kids at school, for a big reason. They were elves. They were also brother and sister. The elf age is a little bit different from humans. They age about 4 times slower. They are both 16 in human years, but in elven years, they would be about 68 or so. They had never told anyone their true age. They had moved from a place called Diorre, an elven village. They werent too keen on humans. It was an inherited distrust. Humans had been trouble for their race, but they were forced to move to this little town. Singe had helped them out when a group of bullies were trying to beat them up. Singe had taken the 3 out rather quickly, as he did numerous times before. Even after that, they were still edgy around him, but they grew to trust each other. He started home, but something told him not to quite yet. It was probably the person who followed him. Rosa had been chasing after him for the last minute. She spoke, out of breath, almost dropping the books in her hands. She was wearing her usual long purple dress. She also had an odd flower in her hair. She took a deep breath. Hey Singe. Dont go home yet. Remember? You were supposed to meet us by the docks. Oh, yeah. Sorry, just got distracted by other stuff. He watched her closely. She would seem like a really nice person if she didnt despise the humans so much. At least she was nice to him. A lot of guys in school had a crush on her, but they wouldnt say anything for 3 reasons. 1: Singe 2: Her brother Silvanus, and 3: They knew she would say no. Well, come with me then. My brothers still setting up. She smiled at him. She never smiled that often, but when she did, she was rather cute. But Singe never thought of such things. He was too angry at something for some reason. Singe followed her back to the dock area. By one of the piers was a small cave. Singe had never been in here before, but Rosa and Silv usually came here a lot. Rosa sat down at a table and Silv walked over to him. Back in Diorre, he was known as the Blade of Roses for some reason. Singe never bothered to ask. Even Singe had a nickname Killa which had been established after he took out a group of soldiers by himself. Hey, about time you got here, Silvanus said. His clothing was rather grand. Looks like he got dressed up. He wore a red suit, with a black cloak draping over it. Yeah, sorry about that. I kinda forgot. Forgot?! Come on, man. Were supposed to train together. I thought you liked fighting. He grinned. He knew that Singe never liked anyone to say that about him. He loved to fight. Hey, dont even start. I just had something else on my mind. He pulled out his katana, which he so lovingly named KillYou. He had a thing about naming his weapon, as if it was his equal. An indentation on his wall said My sword is one with me. My sword is useless without me. I am useless without my sword. It was kind of freaky, but thats what he enjoyed doing. Freaking people out. Well, we got a couple hours. Thisll be better than school. Well actually get to hold a weapon Singe readied himself, planting his feet. Ready? Silv got ready and unsheathed his two short swords. They werent very short considering they were a yard each. Im ready. Lets see what you can do, Killa. Rosa stood at a safe distance. She wondered who would be victorious. This wasnt going to be a fatal battle at least. She couldnt stand to lose either of them. |
