John Proctor � a good guy with a secret lust for Abigail. He�s hones and is basically the hero of the story, even though he dies in the end. He has an affair with Abigail causing a big uproar with his wife and other town�s people. He tries to help Abigail but he doesn�t want to risk his reputation or name. He would rather save his family name then to admit to the lies of him being a witch.
John Hale � he is an intelligent intellectual man. He was given an errand by God to deal with the witchcraft problems. He was mostly the force behind the witch trails because he wants everyone to be hones and confess to their sins.
Elizabeth Proctor � she wanted to live a happy life with her husband until she finds out about the affair between Abigail and her husband John. She then solves the problem by firing Abigail, making her jealous and starting the whole witch trail hysteria.
